A special Christmas podcast Huzzah!

The Clinic (2010)

Disturbing and original Australian horror.

(Sophie Lowe, the new Alice, had a part in this).

Computer Chess (2013)

B and W, retro 70s homage to computer geeks through the medium of a computer chess competition. Smidgen of SF.

Generally amusing and look out for a deranged, and genuinely funny character called Michael Papageorge played by Myles Paige. He had me rolling; egotistical, pompous, unreliable, entrepreneurial, in a sea of academics. Could just imagine him being played by Will Ferrell.

The Hunger Games: Catching Fire (2013)

See below.

Matt Smith's Final Doctor Who Episode

Complicated! May require further viewing.

How many girlfriends has he had?

Highlander (1997)

Finally saw re-run episode of Highlander on the horror channel and found out that Duncan kills Richie!

Once Upon A Time in Wonderland (2013)

Romance, fantasy, adventure. Alice and Cyrus. The Knave and Queen of hearts. John Lithgow as the White Rabbit and Naveen Andrews seems to be relish playing as evil Jaffar. Where's Aladdin.

No UK air-date yet.

Neonomicon (2010) by Alan Moore

Mulder and Scully-type Cthullu mythos story.

Quite run-of-the-mill, if you put aside some quite nasty scences.

Absolutely not for kids.

Hyper Light Drifter (2014)

Saw this in Edge Mag and had to talk about it.

Beautiful looking, compelling story and although 2D, very reminiscent of Diablo I's 2.5D.

My only reservation is that I don't think I've got the dexterity to play this game.

Superbrothers: Sword and Sworcery EP, Mari0

Other Retro Games: Superbrothers: Sword and Sworcery EP and the free Mari0.

Dungeons and Dragons Starter Set 4th Edition Red Box

On Amazon, off Amazon. Difficult to get. Good for the imagination.

Here's where I talk about how wonderful The Hunger Games: Catching Fire is, because I forgot to do so earlier! Duhhh!

Computer Books?

Along with the bees, they seem to have disappeared from high street book shops.

Jessops

Jessops back and now owned by Dragon's Den Peter Jones, and I didn't even notice, but only digital, but then it was even before the closure.

Lua and LOVE

For 2D games development.

Paper!

Impossible to replace with anything else.

Q10

For distraction-free writing.
