The only reason for for this very short, but not shortest, episode is to tell you about a chortle inducing scene I should have mentioned, had I not forgotten to in 314.
You already know (listen to 314). The gist is a plot to depopulate the earth of humans and start again with a specially selected elite.
See 314, but in addition: there is a really funny scene, where Jon Pertwee is set upon within the Tube by a small pterosaur. As usual, Jon Pertwee's reaction to the flappy, squawky, and incredibly unrealistic diminutive dinosaur is brilliant.
As I've said before, the crew are allowing Jon Pertwee to fully use his considerable comedic repertoire and the results are hilarious. It was so notable, just like his other comic turns too numerous to mention, but starting with his first outing as the Doctor and entanglement with the tentacular thing in Spearhead from Space (pod 177), that I just had to talk about it in this addendum to CRRRaSh! 314.
