It's not an apocalypse, but it is a disaster, but it's not all bad, is it?
We're seeing what our friends are really like and who are our true friends, and discovering that it appears to be every man for himself out there... at least with the general public, which all seems rather diabolical, so perhaps we shouldn't have led with that.
At least it's not actually an apocalypse. Did I say that already? Oh ####, let's move on to a less ill thought out item. Sorry about that, I'm not sure what possessed me in the first place.

John Connor's a ####### robot? Picard's a ####### robot? Everyone's a robot? Robot? Robot?! Robot! Robot!!!
I enjoyed the show mostly for the nostalgia of seeing old friends again---Picard, Riker, Troi, Seven, Data etc.(?)
I also like Patrick Stewart as an actor, ever since he played Leodegrance in John Boorman's Excalibur (Guenevere's father), and I think the Shakespeare sonnet reading he's doing right now is a nice gesture at this time of crisis.
For these reasons I'm not going to look too hard at the content, which, although beautiful to look at, was mostly average.
Spielberg's 80s show of 50s style comic book tales of strangeness has been rebooted rebooted.
The first episode is pleasant, but more like a family TV movie.
