CRRRRS 436 CRRRaSh! is CRRRRS

Extra Pod

This is an extra pod, serving only to convey some information to my listeners, who may be wondering what is happening to the podcast feed in terms of title, description, artwork, etc.

But before that...

Happy May Day Weekend

Happy Roman Floralia, Celtic Beltane, German Walpurgisnacht, May Day, International Worker's Day; (mostly Sunday), and May Bank Holiday Monday in the UK.

I hope I got them all.

Back to the Beginning

Back to that information. Please treat this as a remarkably short podcast to make a public service announcement.

Henceforth, I'm going right back to the beginning, and Captain Roy's Rocket Radio Show (CRRRaSh!): THE UK Geek Podcast, like the great and ancient tail-swallowing serpent of myth, Ouroboros, is again Captain Roy's Rusty Rocket Radio Show (CRRRRS): THE UK Geek Broadcast.

Yes, we are going right back to where we started. I don't care that I initially changed it because of a certain English celebrity's prurient metaphor, and then subsequently changed it several times again because I am insane.

Aside from the benefit of relative distinctiveness---the acronym, CRRRRS is far less common than CRRRaSh!---I still think it's a bloody stupid name for a show, but in nine years of fiddling with the title, I haven't come up anything more wittier. Until I do, it remains thus!

The circle is complete.

Schedule

Regarding the next proper pod. It's going to take me another day to finish Doctor Who: Nightmare of Eden because I zonked out completely around 5pm. In fact, I just woke up. I'll be finishing that off and taping the pod tomorrow.

As for that upload schedule, that remains intact and none of this information will make the blindest bit of difference to my delivery of episodes on time.

Oh, sod this for a game of soldiers, I'm still recovering from last week's crazy amount of gardening, which I can assure you consisted of no pottering and too much hard labour.

Goodnight!
